Overview

Band 6 RMN - Eating Disorder (CYP). We are looking for a Specialist Nurse to join the Lifespan Eating Disorder Service in North East London NHS Foundation Trust. This post is part of the HIVE team, an Intensive Community Treatment (ICT) pathway working with children and young people and their family and carers. There will be strong links and close working with the existing Eating Disorder team, with management and the clinical lead coming from the existing service. This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled, dedicated and friendly team.

Clinical Skills / Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret specific investigations, such as blood pressure and ECGs, to manage the patient’s clinical risk effectively.
  • Ensure all patients have individualised care plans and that these are reviewed at appropriate intervals.
  • Develop clinical practice and procedures that best support the wellbeing of adult service users with eating disorders in the community.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure that specialist, professional, skilled clinical care is provided for patients and that this is adapted to meet their individual needs.
Starting with NELFT

NELFT places a strong emphasis on proper welcome and induction for new starters. Induction runs from the first Monday of each month and lasts up to two weeks, including mandatory and systems training and equipment allocation. New starters will also have opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction location is the head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless they are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.

High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment £4,714 and maximum payment £5,941 per annum pro rata).
