Job summary

A local design firm in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a CAD Technician to join their customer-focused team. The ideal candidate will manage multiple design projects, liaise with customers, and produce accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD or 2D CAD software. A competitive salary ranging from £24,000 to £35,000 is offered, with a review after 6 months. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.

Job Description

• The CAD technician will be liaising with customers to agree on design details
• Prepare and revise CAD layout drawings
• Preparation of production documentation
• Planning and management of multiple projects
• Assist customers and colleagues with technical support
• Respond to customer queries, adhering to Customer Service Standards at all times

You will ideally be proficient in the use of AutoCAD or 2D CAD software with the ability to achieve a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Working within a precise and customer-focused department, you will need a flexible approach and be committed to achieving daily targets.

It would be good to see candidates with

• The CAD technician will have excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Ideally, have knowledge of AutoCAD and / or SolidWorks
• Able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
• Methodical & structured approach to tasks
• Excellent telephone manner
• Able to produce professional and grammatically correct correspondence

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Salary: £24,000 – £35,000 Per Annum, reviewed after 6 months’ probation
