Buyer Civil Engineering & Building

Location: Winchester

The company delivers high-quality building and civil engineering projects across the South of England, with values typically up to £3M, and is experiencing steady growth across both the building and civils sectors.

Role Overview

As Construction Buyer, you will play a key role within the procurement and supply chain function. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing materials, plant and equipment, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency and compliance with project specifications. You will work closely with commercial, estimating and site delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors for materials, plant, equipment and services.
• Obtain competitive quotations, lead commercial negotiations and place purchase orders aligned with project budgets and program timelines.
