Job description

We are looking for candidates with experience in buying/purchasing in manufacturing environments to join a world leader in engineering technology, in a role that is critical to the success of the supply chain. This is a global engineering powerhouse with decades of experience, and you’ll have to work at a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility alongside an established procurement team.

This role is an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the goal of the team to either extend or make perm, and will cover both strategic procurement activities, as well as supplier management. Covering a PSL of approx. 450, you will obtain quotes, negotiate prices, generate purchase orders and effectively support cost reduction.

What are we looking for?

• Min 1‑2 years within buying/purchasing for a manufacturing business, using MRP/ERP systems
• Experience with supplier management
• Any technical qualifications/CIPS would be advantageous
• Personality: Eager to learn, excellent communication skills and calm under pressure
