The role

As a Buyer youll play a pivotal role in delivering procurement solutions that support the ongoing asset replacement and maintenance of specialist vehicles and equipment for a critical services customer in the London area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while developing your career in defence aerospace and engineeringa sector thats not only exciting but vital to national security and public safety.

Day-to-day youll be
  • Managing the procurement process from requisition to delivery including tendering and spot buying
  • Preparing and issuing requests for proposals / requests for quotation drafting requirements evaluation criteria and contract terms
  • Negotiating contract terms and managing key supplier relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with internal governance and customer regulatory requirements
  • Leading process improvements to drive efficiency and compliance across procurement

The base location is Ruislip but flexible hybrid options are available to suit individual needs. Monday to Friday totalling 37.5 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Buyer
  • Proven experience in procurement or acquisition of goods and services
  • Strong understanding of supplier contracts and negotiation strategies
  • Commercial awareness and experience in a business environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and delegate effectively
