Job Title: Buyer

Location: Camberley (Hybrid)

Salary: £36,000

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Are you a commercially minded retail professional with a passion for product development and trading? A well established company is seeking an experienced Buyer to take ownership of a growing product range.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team, reporting into the Senior Buyer and working closely with the Head of Buying. You'll be instrumental in driving both the buying strategy and in season trading performance across multiple product lines.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Overseeing a range of categories, taking full accountability for sales, profit, and stock levels
  • Building strong supplier partnerships to ensure product availability and drive innovation
  • Boosting category performance through analysis, trading decisions, and promo planning
  • Spotting new product opportunities by keeping up with trends and customer demand
  • Working closely with Marketing, eCommerce, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting a culture of ongoing improvement
We're Looking for Someone Who
  • Has 3+ years in buying or category management within retail
  • Is commercially focused, with experience managing P&L and negotiating with suppliers
  • Has worked in fast-paced, seasonal retail environments
  • Communicates effectively with teams and external partners
  • Uses data to drive decisions and spot growth opportunities
  • Is confident with Excel/Sheets and understands forecasting basics
  • Willing to travel for supplier meetings and trade events
Nice to Have
  • Experience in ecommerce or sourcing from the Far East
  • Background in home products or relevant degree
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and promotions
