Job Description:

A leading software provider is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join their team on an initial 12-month contract. You'll work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with Developers, Testers, and Architects to translate and define requirements, aiding in re-engineering their current products.

Work Type: Hybrid working, 4 days in the office, 1 WFH, with some flexibility once settled in.

Responsibilities:

You'll work closely with Developers, Testers, and other business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clear, agreed upon, and actionable. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Lead sessions with Developers to understand existing system functionality.
  • Translate technical requirements into clear business language for stakeholder review.
  • Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs to capture needs and ensure alignment.
  • Build strong relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of requirement changes and decisions in Azure DevOps.
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions.
  • Experience working for a software house.
  • Experience with systems re-engineering, complex system migrations, or modernization projects.
  • Experience working closely with technical teams (Developers, Architects, Testers).
  • Comfortable working within an Agile delivery environment.
  • Proficient with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with legacy systems and translating existing functionality into modern solutions.
  • Familiarity with workflows in Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of test planning and UAT processes.
