Working as a Business Support Officer (BSO) in a friendly and supportive team, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Transformation & Improvement team based at our Stevenage site.
Responsibilities
- Provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to Senior Management team members, including managing complex diaries, arranging extensive travel and expenses, organising meetings, events, workshops, training days, and following up on actions.
- Create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, MS OneNote and MS Word documents accurately.
- Onboarding activities for new starters (IT requests, security clearance information).
- Understand and utilise MBDA systems, tools and policies.
- Build key stakeholder relationships across the business in the UK and other Natco's.
- Support Transformation & Improvement projects.
- Support wider UKSF activities such as participation in working groups.
- These tasks may be varied and ad-hoc in scope.
Qualifications / requirements
- Experience in a similar Business / Admin Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events and travel arrangements.
- Resilience, strong communication, organisation skills and attention to detail, which are key to success in this role.
- Forward thinking; looks to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote).
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload effectively.
- Enthusiastic team player, demonstrating integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description.
- To develop to become the knowledge point of contact within the team.
- Confident in building effective working relationships at all levels.
- Participation in UK Support Function and personal development initiatives.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Salary: Circa £28,000 depending on experience.
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
- Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Post-offer BPSS checks will be required.
- Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year).
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
- Overtime: opportunity for paid overtime.
