We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Birmingham to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.65 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality business and administrative support services in line with Trust standards.
  • Proactively support Social Workers and Trust staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all processes.
  • Act as first point of escalation for unusual queries, providing solutions and guidance.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and supervise the work of a small team, including line management where required.
  • Maintain oversight of processes, staffing rotas, and quality standards, addressing risks or conflicting priorities.

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating staff, driving performance and setting clear expectations.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work across the service as required.
  • Strong ICT and data management skills (MS Office and relevant systems).
