Description

Prospective officers and staff must be held to a higher standard of behaviour and accountability than members of the public and that therefore their right to privacy can be fettered in certain circumstances. This is to ensure that members of the police are fully aware and accountable for the unique powers entrusted to them and the standards of professional behaviour they swear to uphold.

IT & Digital Services are looking for reliable flexible and self‑motivated individuals to work as part of a busy Mobile Device Team and to provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to IT & Digital Teams.

Key Responsibilities of the role :
  • Responsible for processing orders invoices and liaising with suppliers when necessary.
  • Responsible for collection / distribution of post order stationary as and when required.
  • Responsible for processing contractors personnel for security vetting and Freedom of Information.
  • Managing the end to end process of stock consumables.
  • Process Freedom of Information requests.
  • Assist with the management ceasing / ordering and maintenance of all mobile phone and Data / Voice circuits in line with Force Policy.
  • Update the Asset Management System for any assets being delivered.

Assist with managing / checking in stock items.

Essential Requirements :
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to work with large data sets using sort / filter / pivot / lookup functions in MS Excel
  • Able to work without direct supervision and use initiative to provide an excellent customer experience
  • Must be well organised with a positive and flexible approach to workload and can work to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills processes
Desirable Requirements

ITIL Foundation

Vetting :

Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.

Medical :

Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks which may include a drugs test.

Interviews :

To take place at the beginning of November 2025.
