A professional association for research administration seeks an organized and adaptable individual to join their Funding Support Team. The role emphasizes data management, detailed analysis, and supporting colleagues to enhance operational processes. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, strong communicators with a curiosity for new initiatives and a desire to collaborate. While previous experience in higher education is preferred, the focus is on problem-solving and improving systems to meet wider organizational needs.
This is a new role. You’ll be based in the friendly, supportive and high-performing Funding Support Team but you’ll work with colleagues from across the service.
We are looking for someone who is organised, systematic and adaptable. There will be core activity throughout the year for reporting, data analysis and systems support but there’ll be ad-hoc activities and work that support colleagues to improve processes and systems as well as operational activities and requests.
The role requires a detail-orientated person who is confident with data and working across a variety of systems and packages but we need someone comfortable liaising with colleagues, excited about getting involved in new initiatives and creating networks with colleagues in other services e.g. IT.
This opportunity would be perfect for someone who enjoys a varied workload – you need to be happy to get stuck into detailed data analysis and tasks but welcome the opportunity to work with colleagues to find a solution to a challenge or improve a process.
You will need to be highly organised with outstanding attention to detail, confident in manipulating and analysing data. We want someone who’s curious about new knowledge and initiatives and happy to trial them and bring them back to the wider service.
It would be an advantage if you have worked in higher education before, or a similar large organisation where you were able to follow complex processes and understand the needs of the wider organisation.
