About the role
You would be joining at an important stage in our growth, with real scope to shape how Business Management is delivered. As a Business Management Lecturer, you will:
- Teach Business Management modules to post‑16 and Higher Education learners.
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive sessions that connect theory to current business practice.
- Design, review and update learning materials and assessments in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements.
- Set, mark and moderate assignments, providing clear and constructive feedback to support progression.
- Support students with both academic and pastoral needs, helping them to stay on track and build confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contribute to quality assurance, course reviews and standardisation activities.
- Work with colleagues and external partners so that the curriculum reflects modern business practices.
- There may be occasional evening or weekend activity for events or open days, agreed in advance.
Essential qualifications
- At least 1 year of teaching experience at Higher Education level, or equivalent experience in a similar setting.
- Degree or equivalent in Business Management or a closely related discipline.
- Masters degree and/or PhD in Business Management or related subject, or currently working towards a Masters.
- Higher Education or Further Education teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
Desirable qualifications
- Professional experience in business, management, entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Experience designing or updating modules, assessments and learning materials.
- Confidence using digital tools in teaching and interest in how AI is changing the business landscape.
