A top-ranked international law firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join their London office. The role involves collaborating with partners and the global BD team to implement and drive business development initiatives in the UK and European markets. The successful candidate will leverage research, writing, technical, and communication skills to create high-quality materials and lead strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support partners in preparing targeted pitch presentations and meeting materials to effectively communicate the firm’s experience.
  • Work with the BD Director to create new marketing collateral, ensuring adherence to branding standards.
  • Maintain deal lists and materials, with support from the junior BD team.
  • Lead submissions to directories, guides, awards, and surveys.
  • Coordinate research on market trends to provide competitive intelligence updates for lawyers.
  • Keep informed on firm news, maintain the practice experience database, and update the CRM system.
  • Organise events and conferences, managing logistics from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and the Communications team on thought leadership pieces and internal communications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a legal or professional services firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of transactional, corporate, and litigation terminology and processes.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (advantageous).
