The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our client\'s team in Glasgow. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of business growth, focusing on developing new client relationships while strengthening existing partnerships. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the company\'s long-term success and expansion strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow fire and security service offerings.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across targeted sectors.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and end-users.
  • Present tailored proposals, tenders, and quotations to clients.
  • Work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.
  • Stay up to date with market developments, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the fire and security sector.
  • Strong knowledge of systems such as fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and compliance requirements (e.g. BS5839, BS5266).
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially aware with a results-driven mindset.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
