A superb opportunity has come up to work for an independent manufacturing company who specialise in bespoke carton packaging since 1917. They are innovative and engineer not only the carton but the solution. They are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager who is happy to find leads and build relationships in the food, homecare, health, horticultural, DIY, pet care and engineering sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Find new leads, prospects and develop a pipeline with the ability to achieve £500,000 - £1,000,000 in new business.
  • Identify new leads in the food, homecare, health, horticultural, DIY, pet care and engineering sectors.
  • Work on new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and potential expansion in targeted markets.
  • Be part of the team to ensure department targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Contribute to the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the company image and continue improving initiatives.
  • Conduct weekly reports on customer visits, pipeline, and sales projections.
  • Provide excellent communication channels both internally and externally.
Essential
  • A minimum of 1-4 years in print & packaging.
  • Experience in setting short, medium, and long-term new business targets with a strategic and consultative approach.
  • Ability to hit a new business target of £500,000 - £1,000,000 in the specified sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the UK market.
  • Willingness to develop new business opportunities and build on successes.
  • Ability to nurture existing accounts.
  • Focus on improving gross margins.
  • Strong sense of business relationships and customer service.
  • High interest in the technical dimension of the products.
