Job summary

A travel management company in London is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to build relationships with B2C clients for their UK and European travel needs. The candidate should excel in communication and have a positive attitude while working in a target-driven environment. A basic salary of circa £26,000 with potential first-year earnings of £35k - £40k is offered. The role is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, with no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to decision makers.
  • Develop a strong pipeline and secure appointments for Account Managers.
  • Liaise with Account Management team daily.
  • Research and develop strong business relationships.
  • Handle objections and provide consultative sales.
  • Submit weekly status and activity reports.
  • Use the CRM system daily.
  • Work in a pressurised sales environment and set targets.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE – TRAVEL INDUSTRY

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and successful business development professional to join a successful and fast‑growing Travel Management company. The purpose of the role is to build business relationships with B2C clients in order to work in partnership with them regarding their UK and European business travel requirements. The successful Business Development Executive needs to thrive in a target‑driven environment and be confident in liaising over the telephone at a Senior level. We need a Business Development executive that is an outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will be highly motivated and used to working under pressure. You will be based in an award‑winning sales team so you must be a team player. The team works hard but has fun!

Some of the key duties will include:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls and talk directly to decision makers
  • Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients and secure a minimum of 8 appointments for the Account Managers per week
  • Liaise with the Account Management team on a daily basis
  • Research and develop strong business relationships
  • Handle any objections in a confident manner and provide a consultative sales approach, highlighting the business benefits
  • Submit weekly status and activity reports
  • Daily use of the CRM system and update accordingly
  • Work in a pressurised sales environment and set targets
Skills/Qualifications
  • Specific Travel industry experience would be welcome however not imperative.
  • The successful candidate will possess superb people and communication skills along with a good command of the English language.
  • Positive attitude and ability to operate as an integral part of a team are a must.

A basic salary of circa £26,000 will be offered with realistic first‑year earnings of £35k – £40k. You will be based in the London Head Office and work Monday – Friday 9am‑5.30pm. No evenings or weekends!
