Overview

Salford may be required to meet with team members based there.

Proposed salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 pro rata depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job purpose: Are you passionate about supporting teams to get things done and experienced in business support? As a Business Coordinator you play a vital role in enabling Sounds teams to deliver content and projects to help grow our digital audio listening. You will book new freelancers, raise payments, help new starters and organise team initiatives. It’s a great fit for someone with strong experience in a range of business activities who enjoys responding to different ad hoc requests to enable the smooth running of the department.

Your key responsibilities and impact
  • Book freelancers using Smartbook (the BBC\'s freelance booking system), including determining the correct contract type to use
  • Raise payments including purchase orders via Ariba system and chase up invoices
  • Maintain accurate information for the team, including logging costs on Excel budget tracker
  • Lead coordination of our starters and leavers process to ensure people start in Sounds smoothly
  • Office support in London including logging issues with equipment/furniture; receiving or sending equipment out to staff via Post room
  • Support with ad hoc staff events and team initiatives
  • Respond to ad hoc business support queries, proactively tracking down the solution
