Job summary

Business Analyst

6-month contract | £300/day (Inside IR35)

Join the Technology Strategy & Architecture team at a leading UK bank, supporting high-impact Tech Modernisation projects within Central Services. Bridge business needs and IT delivery by capturing requirements, facilitating Agile processes, and ensuring solutions align with strategic roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture, analyse, and document business/technical requirements; write user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to roadmaps, sprints, and plans.
  • Oversee work prioritisation with PMs, Tech Leads, and stakeholders; facilitate Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Produce BA artefacts (specs, BPMN 2.0 processes, wireframes, data models) and run workshops to drive innovative process improvements.
  • Manage complexity/change impacts and support operating model evolution for programmes.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven BA experience on technical/software projects, ideally financial/regulatory.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum + SDLC knowledge; JIRA/Confluence proficiency.
  • Excellent stakeholder influence, proactive problem-solving, and complex project delivery.
Desirable Experience
  • Business architecture awareness; data management (journeys, integration, migration).
  • Scaled Agile in Waterfall; Agile/DevOps/Project Management certifications.
