Overview

At Touch by AJ Bell, we’re reshaping the financial services landscape through our innovative app-based investment platform. As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in delivering impactful change by leading complex projects independently. We’re looking for an experienced BA who can confidently take ownership of a large project and drive it forward as the primary BA. Experience in digital transformation is desirable but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Take ownership of key business analysis initiatives, working collaboratively to ensure project delivery aligns with strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and define requirements.
  • Requirement Definition: Translate complex business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria to support effective solution development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Standards & Practices: Help define and uphold Business Analysis standards and methodologies within the organization.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, leading significant projects independently and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC with experience in delivering digital change initiatives considered a plus.
  • Experience working closely with Product Owners, development teams and other business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements using various techniques.
  • Experience of facilitating and managing workshops and meetings (virtual or in-person).
  • Familiarity with software concepts such as APIs, databases, and user interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across teams
  • Experience in the financial services industry is desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Additional Information

Work Environment: Hybrid working policy, with options to work from either our Manchester or Bristol offices.
