Overview
As a Business Administrator Apprentice with Greater Anglia, you will develop a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in the HR and People Talent Team within a public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team and engage with different parts of the business or interact with internal / external customers to administer GA’s full range of training activities and records in coordination with the training cycle – e.g. booking venues or rooms, sending joining instructions, updating training records.
- Support with the team’s budget and finance management processes – e.g. raising POs, tracking spend, processing invoices and goods received in line with budget provision.
- Contribute to the efficiency of GA’s OD and Talent team processes and procedures through support of functional administration, reports and resolving issues as requested.
- Support with administering profiling reports and ordering materials.
- Help coordinate reportable completion data or refresher training need reports.
- Schedule all training and book provision of external suppliers including regular Assessor and Verifier training.
- Design or administer presentation of learning materials, slides and communications.
- Deliver responsibilities efficiently and with integrity, developing a range of skills by learning and utilising different GA systems such as i-trent, My Role and ebis.
- Write communications to identify trends or to analyse data – e.g. talent statistics.
- Maintain the My Role administration records, analysing and reporting on data such as Talent Snapshots results, capability gaps, check‑in audits etc.
- Support the Head of Talent with confidential annual talent records and preparation of succession or talent documentation, attending meetings where necessary.
- Support the transfer of all LMS and face‑to‑face training records to ACMS and assist with LMS administration tasks.
- Coordinate mentoring and coaching profiles and/or relationships.
- Coordinate bespoke administration projects – e.g. talent administration, exit data.
- Support process maps and other compliance monitoring activities.
- Learn and deliver a range of other administrative tasks or projects to support the team.

Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on‑the‑job training you need to up‑skill in your role, and your 20% off‑the‑job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Business Administrator L3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional skills in Maths and English if required
