A leading independent training provider situated near Doncaster is looking for a part-time Buildings Maintenance Operative. This role involves general maintenance and decoration across college properties, overseeing contractors, and maintaining tools and spaces. The position offers an initial 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, contributions to an auto-enrolled pension scheme, and comprehensive training. Salary: £16,666.65 increasing to £17,349.15 on the 1st of April 2026
Working Hours: 26.25 hours per week; Wednesday – Friday between 7:30am – 4:45pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break each day
Our client seeks to appoint a part‑time Building Maintenance Operative to join its enthusiastic, vibrant, and hardworking team. As one of only two specialist horse‑racing colleges in the UK, this independent training provider delivers training for people in both racing and other equine industries. Located in the scenic grounds of a private estate near Doncaster, it achieved Ofsted Grade 2 for overall effectiveness and Grade 1 for both Behaviour & Attitudes and Personal Development in December 2022.
The Buildings Maintenance Operative ensures the college buildings are well‑maintained and presentable.
