Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our thriving and collaborative Building Consultancy team, based out of our Birmingham office and covering the wider Midlands region. You’ll lead on a diverse portfolio of projects across both the public and private sectors, supporting clients with expert building surveying services.

This role offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team spanning across England and Wales.

About the role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality building consultancy services and managing key client relationships across the Midlands. You’ll work across a variety of projects, with core responsibilities likely to include:

  • Technical due diligence for commercial and residential properties
  • Preparing specifications, drawings, and risk assessments for refurbishments and maintenance
  • Conducting building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidation assessments, and defect analysis
  • Leading QA processes and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience
  • Chartered Member of RICS (or equivalent), or actively working towards chartership
  • Strong background in Building Surveying with experience in party wall matters, dilapidations, and defect analysis
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
