A facilities management company is seeking a Fabric Engineer to undertake building fabric activities and repairs. Responsibilities include client communication, maintenance tasks, and documentation. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in a maintenance environment. This role requires strong communication skills and knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
Fabric Engineer
Reports to: Fabric Supervisor
In your role as a Fabric Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking all building fabric activities, with repairs undertaken where necessary to achieve the highest level of service for the client, reporting any defects at the time of the service visit. Build relationships with the client, answering any queries and keeping them informed of site activities and developments. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work. The role will require the team to undergo a high-level security clearance due to the security level of the site.
The role will include a variety of tasks including the following:
You'll need experience within a similar position within a maintenance environment, holding relevant qualifications e.g. time served apprenticeship, C&G or equivalent. Know the relevance of tool box talks, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights. Good verbal and written communication and ability to use computers.
