A leading house-building organization in Basildon is looking for a Building Inspector to ensure new homes meet NHBC Standards and Building Regulations. You will work with builders to foster strong relations, identify construction defects, and maintain quality in new housing developments. Suitable candidates should have significant experience in construction and hold relevant qualifications. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including a performance bonus and flexible working arrangements.

Salary: £40,600-£43,700 per year + 6% performance bonus

As a Building Inspector, you will be a key member of our inspection service team, collaborating with registered builders to ensure homes meet NHBC Standards and Building Regulations. You will foster exceptional customer relationships, champion NHBC's values, and make a lasting impact on the construction landscape.
Based from home but out and about daily, you'll work with registered builders to ensure new homes meet NHBC Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant legislation. You will build excellent working relationships with site managers on your patch, identify and prevent construction defects, help manage our insurance risk, and contribute to creating high-quality homes for new home buyers. You can expect full training and ongoing support from your line manager and wider team. You'll have control of your own diary and the autonomy to do the job as you think best. Your working day starts when you leave home and weekends are not required to support a healthy work/life balance.
NHBC provides support for registration with the Building Safety Regulator, including training and development for third-party accredited assessment schemes. NHBC may fund assessment schemes and registration with the Building Safety Regulator.
