Bookkeeper – Accountancy Practice
West Sussex | Full-time | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with a passion for client service and a strong grounding in practice? We’re working with a long-established and highly reputable firm of accountants who are looking to welcome a confident and capable Bookkeeper to their friendly team.

The Role:
You’ll play a key role in supporting a varied portfolio of clients, delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services while building trusted client relationships. Duties will include:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping for a range of clients across various sectors

  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns

  • CIS administration and monthly Returns

  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts

  • Supporting the payroll team when required

The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and client-centric. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and Sage

  • Solid Excel skills

  • Excellent communication abilities and a client-first approach

  • Confidence to work independently and to deadlines
