A leading company in accounting is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join their team in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will handle various accounting duties including VAT returns, payroll, and accounts preparation. This role offers flexibility for the right individual regarding salary and an immediate start.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Purchase and Sales Ledger.
  • Knowledge of VAT returns and payroll duties preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Purchase and Sales Ledger.
  • Carry out VAT returns and payroll processing.
  • Prepare accounts up to Trial Balance.

Job description

Duties will include:-

  • Purchase and Sales Ledger
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll
  • Accounts Preparation up to Trial Balance
  • CIS (not an essential requirement)
  • Ad Hoc duties

Accounting systems used:-

  • Sage line 50

You will be working as part of a team of 4, and must have good computer skills with a good eye for detail.

Salary is negotiable for the right candidate and an immediate start is possible.

This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 8.30-17.00.
