Orka Financial have started work with a business in High Wycombe who are seeking a Part-Time detail-oriented Finance and Payroll Officer to manage the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, payroll, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily financial operations, including processing transactions, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Administer monthly payroll and pension processes, including HMRC and provider submissions.
  • Assist in preparing annual accounts to trial balance and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support budget planning, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage supplier payments, income tracking, and credit control functions.
  • Maintain the integrity of the school's financial and payroll systems.
  • Respond to queries from staff, suppliers, and regulatory bodies regarding finance and payroll.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and safeguarding policies.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial procedures and team collaboration.
