An established NHS trust in Wolverhampton seeks a State Registered Biomedical Scientist to analyze clinical samples and aid in disease diagnosis and drug monitoring. The role involves teamwork in a state-of-the-art lab and offers flexibility in working arrangements. Candidates with significant experience in Clinical Chemistry are encouraged to apply.
Applications are invited from State Registered Biomedical Scientists. Candidates will have substantial experience as a State Registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Clinical Chemistry with sound scientific and technical knowledge and abilities and have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
The Department is UKAS accredited. It serves a population of around 410,000 but has a wider catchment area. It provides a full range of analytical services to the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and Cannock and Wolverhampton CCGs producing approximately 6 million test results per year.
The laboratory moved into a new state of the art laboratory in early 2013 equipped with new analyzers and pre-analytical systems linked by an automated sample track.
Consideration may be given to newly state registered Biomedical Scientists or students approaching state registration with Clinical Chemistry experience.
