A leading biotech company in Edinburgh is looking for an Assistant Technician in the Immunology, Bioanalysis & Biomarkers department. The ideal candidate will have a NAT5/Higher qualification in Maths, Chemistry, or Biology, coupled with strong organisational and communication skills. Responsibilities include managing materials, sample preparation, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Qualifications

  • A NAT5/Higher or equivalent qualification in two of Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
  • High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Material ordering, receipt, management, and delivery.
  • Tube and sample preparation.
  • Preparation of reagents and solutions.
  • Using laboratory equipment like balances and centrifuges.
  • Laboratory organisation and cleaning duties.
  • Monitoring levels of consumable products.
  • General maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders.
