Job Title: Benefits Lead (SME)

Role Overview

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Benefits Lead (Subject Matter Expert) to support the rollout and embedding of a refreshed Benefits Management Framework across multiple programmes. The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for benefits-related matters, providing both strategic oversight and hands-on support depending on programme maturity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide programmes through benefits mapping, identification, and quantification (cashable, non-cashable, quality benefits).
  • Support programmes with varying capabilities, from oversight to direct hands-on work.
  • Collaborate with cluster leads to ensure consistent data flow and monthly updates.
  • Translate efficiencies and time savings into measurable organisational value.
  • Track benefit realisation timelines and outcomes across the portfolio.
Qualifications / Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in benefits management, ideally within the public sector.
  • Skilled in benefits quantification, including cashable savings, non-cashable efficiencies, and productivity improvements.
  • Comfortable operating in politically sensitive and complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, proactive, and collaborative across multiple teams.
