Overview

Job Title: Bench Joiner – Restaurant Bars & Kitchens
Location: Huddersfield, HD9
Rate: £23.00 per hour
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking an experienced Bench Joiner for an immediate start in Huddersfield (HD9). This role involves workshop-based joinery, focusing on the production of restaurant bars, kitchen units, counters, and custom interior fittings. Ideal for someone confident with machine operation and bespoke fit-out components.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing bespoke bar counters, kitchen furniture, and restaurant fittings from timber and panel products
• Working from detailed drawings, cutting lists, and CAD specifications
• Operating standard woodworking machinery (saws, edgebanders, routers, spindle moulders, planers, etc.)
• Assembly and finishing of components to high-quality standards
• Ensuring precise measurements, alignment, and detailing of all joinery elements
• Working collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, ideally with hospitality/bar/kitchen fit-out experience
• Skilled in operating a wide range of woodworking machinery and using hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists accurately
• Excellent craftsmanship and eye for detail
• Own tools and PPE (machinery training/certification preferred)
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
