Business Development Manager - Engineering/Water

North West - £45,000 - £50,000 + Electric Car + Bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of mechanical solutions for water management, flood defence, and environmental services. Due to significant growth and substantial new contracts, they are seeking a BDM/Regional Sales Manager - covering the north‑west region.

The Role

As a BDM/Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales, and ensuring the company's industry‑leading products and services are effectively integrated into client projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing‑term relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Supporting clients in the design phase to incorporate company solutions.
  • Negotiating and defining technical scopes for tenders and proposals.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors to provide full turnkey solutions.
  • Demonstrating a proactive and passionate approach to sales.
Key Skills & Experience
  • A strong sales background in mechanical engineering and/or construction.
  • Experience within the water flow control sector is desirable.
  • Knowledge of NEC Contracts is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A technical mindset with an understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering.
