PROPOSED SALARY RANGE : Up to £45,733 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BBC MediaOperations is at the heart of teams delivering incredible content across all our platforms for all audiences.
The Location team is responsible for resourcing and supporting outside broadcasts for Radio, News, and for Production Services who supply and support kit to self‑shooters. Our team work on some of the BBC’s highest profile events ranging from music (Glastonbury, the Proms) to Sport (Euros, Olympics) to News (coverage of the Party Conferences, elections as well as breaking News events).
As Base Manager for Media Operations Location you will play a key role coordinating the daily running of base operations. Helping to facilitate site safety, team engagement, clear communication, growth, and enthusiasm within the base. Ensuring team members, equipment, resources, and vehicle requirements are allocated to deliver operational and broadcast support requirements, while anticipating and addressing issues which may arise. Ensure that all building maintenance and facilities issues are dealt with promptly to ensure business continuity.
Finally, to act as the on‑site manager and deputise for the Operations Manager as and when needed.
