A leading global financial services firm is seeking Summer Analysts for a 10-week program in London, starting June 2026. This role involves supporting Relationship Managers, managing client relationships, and assisting in financial analyses. Citi Banking is looking for Summer Analysts to join our 10-week program starting in June 2026 in the Commercial Banking team in London. Upon successfully completing the Summer Internship program, Summer analysts will be offered a Full-Time Analyst role for Summer 2027.
Commercial Bankers are relationship-focused professionals who understand the wide range of complex financial solutions required by our clients around the world. The Summer Analyst will work directly with Relationship Managers and Analysts on a portfolio of clients and interface with various Citi teams across the firm and around the world including credit underwriting, cash management, loans, FX, derivatives, capital markets and investment banking. The Summer Analyst is a critical team member supporting Relationship Managers with managing the existing portfolio and generating new business.
Work with Relationship Managers to determine credit and cash management products to offer to clients. Collaborate with product, risk management and other partners. Create pitch books, prospect memos and client decks.
Assist in credit approvals for new-to-bank and existing clients, using official/internal databases. Analyze financial data using models including valuations, discounted cash flow, financing, comparatives, and pro-forma analyses.
Collect and analyze company information to support transactions, including industry research and organizing financial data.
Manage existing client relationships for transaction-level support for Senior Relationship Managers. Address client instructions/deficiencies and coordinate trainings (e.g., CitiDirect, FX Pulse) with Citi partners.
Support customer due diligence / KYC for new-to-bank and existing clients. Handle onboarding documentation for Commercial Bank and initiate CRM workflow for account opening and other client-facing products.
Coordinate tasks with internal and external teams. Prepare required internal documentation such as controls and compliance materials.
You are due to graduate in 2027 and on track for a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree.
You have an interest in business and are fluent in a second language (desirable but not essential).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills, self-motivation, initiative, and leadership potential.
Ability to prepare deliverables for meetings with high-profile clients and executives with professionalism, integrity, and insight.
Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and relationship-building skills.
Innovative problem-solving ability and intellectual curiosity; cooperative and focused on achieving group and client objectives.
Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
