Main duties of the job

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
  • Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
  • Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training

You will be registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and bring post-registration Scrub experience within a Theatre environment, demonstrating focus, attention to detail, empathy and strong communication skills.

Theatre Practitioner - Operating Department Practitioner - Scrub (RGN / ODP) Hereford Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part time | Includes weekend work | Up to £22 per hour depending on experience

As a Scrub Practitioner/Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will be focused, detail-oriented and empathetic with excellent communication. You are registered with the appropriate governing body and have qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you are a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
  • Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
