Bank Support Worker – Deal - £12.21 ph

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Bank Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a bank support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. Our residential service in Deal is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same.

You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema. This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone\'s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

Responsibilities
  • Help people gain more independence in daily living activities.
  • Assist with personal care as required.
  • Encourage individuals to access local communities and socialise.
  • Plan and participate in activities and outings (e.g., visiting local venues, watching films, gaming).
  • Support people to set and achieve goals related to independence and confidence (e.g., cooking meals, planning a trip).
  • Work as part of a supportive team in a residential setting.
Qualifications
  • You don\'t need prior experience to be a fantastic Bank Support Worker; a genuine caring attitude, a passion to improve quality of life, and a willingness to learn are key.
  • Able to adapt to different people and embrace individual differences.
  • DBS checks and references will be required for all applicants.
  • Be prepared to undertake training and development opportunities.
