Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in Luton is seeking qualified Bank Mammographers to join their dedicated team. This role involves participating in the radiographic operation of the Breast Screening Services. The ideal candidate should have recent mammography experience and relevant qualifications including a diagnostic radiography degree. Bank Mammographer

Beds & Herts Breast Screening Services are seeking qualified mammographers to join our Bank team.

As one of the largest breast screening units in the country, we provide comprehensive screening and assessment services to women across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Our service is supported by five mobile units, with assessment and symptomatic breast clinics delivered in our modern, purpose‑built Breast Screening Unit (BSU) in Luton and at Bedford Hospital.

The BSU is conveniently located next to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, close to the M1, with excellent access to local and national rail networks as well as Luton Airport.

Main duties of the job

JOB SUMMARY : To participate in the radiographic operation of the assessment centre, mobile units and symptomatic clinics in accordance with the agreed operational policies of the Breast Screening Services and the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP)
