The role of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as General Assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards.
  • Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services.
  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats.
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes.
Skills and Experience
  • Some experience of working in a catering/hospitality environment is desirable.
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
  • NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering, or willing to work towards is desirable.
