Location: Hertfordshire
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 31-Mar-25
Rate: £19-£29 per hour

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Band 5 and Band 6 Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality pharmaceutical care. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, working closely with clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for dispensing inpatient, outpatient, and discharge medications. You will take comprehensive drug histories, work collaboratively with clinical pharmacists, and provide counselling to patients. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
  • Experience in dispensing medications in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and drug interactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience in drug history taking and patient counselling is desirable
