Job Title: Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: 5/6/7

Location: Croydon

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £18–£34 per hour

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist to join our client based in Croydon. This role involves working full-time across the borough in mainstream schools, providing essential EHCP provisions such as interventions and reviews. If you are passionate about supporting children’s communication development and are willing to travel across schools, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children in mainstream schools, focusing on enhancing their communication skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct interventions, and review progress as part of EHCP provisions.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals for a collaborative approach.
  • Provide training and support to school staff and families.
  • Travel across various schools within the borough to deliver services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC.
  • Experience working with children in mainstream school settings.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches.
  • Assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in training and supporting school staff and families.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
