Band 8a People & Culture Business Partner

An experienced and motivated People and Culture Business Partner will join our team to support Clinical Group and Corporate leaders in delivering a proactive, solution-focused People and Culture service. Key responsibilities include workforce planning, organisational development, staff engagement, performance improvement and coaching managers to build capability and enable effective change.

Main duties

The Business Partner will work closely with Clinical and Corporate leadership teams to support planning, modernisation, engagement, motivation and performance of the workforce. The role embeds workforce and OD best practice, improving standards and increasing management capability within the division. The BP will develop working relationships with multi-professional staff built on trust, confidence and mutual respect, and represent the People and Culture Directorate at Clinical Group meetings.

The BP will promote equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement ensuring these issues are central to all activity undertaken and work in accordance with the Trust's Equality Schemes.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
  • CIPD qualified/accredited or equivalent level of experience in HR.
  • Degree or equivalent level of experience in HR.
Experience
  • Experience of generalist HR working at a senior level.
  • Experience of operating a HR Business Partner approach within a complex organisation.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the HRBP role and the key success criteria.
  • Demonstrates commitment to, and enthusiasm for facilitating change, cultural and behavioural change, service improvement, and team and individual development.
