Job description

This post is a permanent job-share position, working 18.75 hours per week.

The post-holder will work as a member of the Divisional Management team to lead and manage the extensive clinical governance programme across Dental Services, which includes a wide range of projects relating to risk management, health & safety, and meeting the regulatory requirements of external standards and inspection such as those undertaken by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The post-holder will lead, plan, support, facilitate and monitor progress of governance projects including incident management, audit as part of quality improvement, complaint handling, projects to improve patient safety and experience, local risk management, learning lessons and clinical effectiveness; ensuring that the best standards of practice are delivered, maintained and continuously improved within the Division’s clinical governance framework. The post holder has responsibility for the design, development and delivery of associated in-house training linked to these projects.

The post holder will lead on developing and maintaining the Dental Services risk assessment, risk register and incident reporting systems.

The post holder will manage the Dental Services patient experience and complaint systems in line with NHS and Trust legislation, policies and procedures.
