Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner looking to make a real difference in emergency care? We invite you to join our friendly and well-established team in the Children’s Emergency Department.

You will be working alongside a fantastic multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high-quality emergency care to all children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the continued development of our paediatric services.

Currently, our service covers a 7-day service, 07:30am – 10:30pm although there is potential for increased hours as the team evolves; there is flexibility with shift patterns and individual requirements (to be discussed at interview).

We are looking for a compassionate and confident professional who is an excellent role model, capable of facilitating positive change and contributing to the advancement of paediatric care pathways. Your clinical expertise, leadership, and innovative thinking will be instrumental in shaping the future of our service.

Role and responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical assessment and management of paediatric patients in the emergency setting.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively within the wider team.
  • Support the development and implementation of paediatric care pathways.
  • Participate in research.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and staff development.
  • Maintain professional development through active engagement in education, leadership, and research activities.
  • As an ANP, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT), using your advanced clinical skills to manage undifferentiated patients aged 0–16 years presenting with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries across all levels of acuity. The role includes 20% protected time to support leadership, education and research activities.
