Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a motivated Band 7 Pharmacist for a ward-based role in the UK. You will provide clinical pharmacy support, conduct medicines reconciliation, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Band 7 Pharmacist – Acute Trust (Ward – Based)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: Until 28th December 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 am – 17:00 pm

Pay: £22.76/ Hour – Standard £36.42/ hour – Bank Holidays

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join an acute trust on a ward-based assignment. The successful candidate will support clinical pharmacy services across a range of acute specialities, including:

  • General Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Orthopaedics
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy support to allocated wards
  • Conduct medicines reconciliation and clinical reviews
  • Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
  • Work Collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Offer advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients
  • Assist with discharge planning and patient counselling
Requirements
  • GPhC Registered Pharmacist
  • Previous hospital or ward-based experience (Band 6/7 level)
  • Strong clinical knowledge in acute cate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
