A large acute healthcare provider in Romford is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for their neurosurgical ward. The role involves providing expert nursing support and ensuring high-quality care for patients with brain and spinal conditions. Experience in neurosurgical care and working in a multi-disciplinary team is desirable. This is a pivotal position for patient support and educational resource within the department.
The CNS will act as a specialist resource and keyworker, providing expert nursing knowledge, information, advice and support to patients and their families throughout their diagnosis, treatment and follow up of brain and central nervous system tumours.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have an integral role in ensuring the continuity and further development of a quality driven service to all patients admitted for assessment, observation, surgical and oncological management of brain and spine tumours. They will provide continuity of care via nurse led clinics and specialist follow up, and in time become an invaluable educational resource in their specialist field.
