Band 7 Locum General Radiographer

Pay Rate: £29.00 – £33.00 P/H

We are seeking a highly skilled Band 7 Locum General Radiographer to join our team in Portsmouth. This ongoing role offers a competitive pay rate of £29-£33 per hour, with working hours from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The position is set to start on January 20, 2025, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced radiographer to contribute to top-quality diagnostic services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Locum General Radiographer, you will be responsible for conducting a range of general radiographic procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. You will operate advanced radiographic equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will follow established protocols and safety standards. Your role will also include mentoring junior staff, maintaining detailed imaging records, and ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the HCPC.
  • Significant experience as a General Radiographer, preferably at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in using modern radiographic equipment and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.
