Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to work autonomously within our Minor Injury Units at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda and Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The successful candidate will support a high‑quality, evidence‑based service and foster a positive learning environment for all staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assess individual patients and determine differential diagnoses.
  • Initiate investigations and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Discharge or refer patients in accordance with agreed clinical guidelines.
  • Provide autonomous clinical practice and support the development of a culture that improves quality and enhances patient experience.
Qualifications & Experience
  • ENP qualification or equivalent.
  • Completed an accredited autonomous practice course in minor injuries (e.g., Level 7 Diploma in the Autonomous Management of Minor Injuries – QCF).
  • Experience in autonomous practice and complex decision‑making.
  • Welsh language skills (speaking & listening Level 3 or above) are desirable, but not essential.
  • UK or Republic of Ireland nationality, or eligibility for a Health and Care Visa/Skilled Worker Visa.
