Overview

As a Band 7 Advanced/Extended Nurse Practitioner, you'll be part of our team primarily based at SheppyCommunity Hospital, Kent with some travel to the Urgent Care Navigation Hub, Strood. About the role

Are you an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with an independent prescribing qualification and a strong background in urgent or community care? If you're looking for a flexible part-time role where you'll work autonomously but also be supported by a skilled and friendly MDT, then this could be the right fit for you.

You'll play a vital role in our Urgent Care Response service, helping patients stay safe at home, avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, and access timely, person-centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with undifferentiated conditions (including minor illness and injury).
  • Use your prescribing qualification to deliver safe, timely, and effective care.
  • Support the Urgent Care Navigation Hub by triaging referrals and directing patients into the right pathways.
  • Provide visible leadership, clinical guidance and supervision to nursing colleagues.
  • Contribute to service development, audits and governance work to continuously improve care.
