A public healthcare provider in Croydon is seeking a Band 6 Staff Nurse for the Interventional Radiology department. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising junior staff, and collaborating with the healthcare team on clinical practices. Ideal candidates will be registered nurses with relevant experience and certifications in cannulation and IV drug administration.
The post holder deputises for the Senior Nurse, ensuring the effective running of the department in his/her absence. Working closely with the Senior Nurse and the Associate Director of Nursing, the Junior Sister/charge nurse is responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care to meet patient needs according to the standard agreed in the Performance Management Framework and the Nursing Strategy.
In addition, the post holder is responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff, facilitating practice development within the clinical area. The post holder will also be involved in developing services related to area of practice such as nurse led sedation services, IV access and out of hours' service provision.
To provide and maintain the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care within the Interventional radiology department and in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
To assist in the delivery of patient care, pre, peri-op and post procedure of diagnostics and/or interventional procedures.
