A leading healthcare trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Band 6 Rotational Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist to join their supportive team. In this permanent, full-time position, you will manage a varied caseload, working closely with multidisciplinary teams in both elective and trauma settings. Ideal candidates should hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy, have current HCPC registration, and be skilled in assessment and treatment. An exciting opportunity has arisen to for a Rotational band 6 Occupational therapist within the Orthopaedic Therapy team. The rotation includes the Trauma & Orthopaedic wards at Barnet Hospital and the Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Chase Farm Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic therapist to join our friendly and supportive team, consisting of experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Support Workers.
This post offers a varied role for the successful candidate offering the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and skills as an Occupational Therapist alongside supporting the OT Team Lead in service improvement tasks. The therapy team is integral to the ward, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess and treat patients throughout their hospital stay.
Within the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy service the post will involve working within the newly developed Hip & Knee Arthroplasty Ambulatory pathway, including a vital role within the pre-operative assessment service for this patient group. The post offers a varied caseload of Elective procedures including Spinal, Shoulder and foot and ankle surgeries. In the Trauma & Orthopaedic team at Barnet, you will assist patients to return home safely following traumatic injuries including upper limb, lower limb and spinal fractures. You will provide essential rehabilitation to improve patients' function post-operatively to be able to regain their baseline independence and quality of life.

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hour) position. The post holder will also be required to work bank holidays and weekends, in line with the department's 7-day working policy.
